Help. I Think I'm a Rockstar.

Musings of a former rockstar-in-the-making who sold out to The Man and now collects regular paychecks in corporate America and gets to eat more frequently. Views on music, travel, culture, relaxation, politics, toys, and other general bullshit.

Son of a Witch...
Friday, January 5, 2007

I know that Skipper wasn't able to fully appreciate the book version of Wicked like he adored the show and soundtrack, but I found it completely fabulous.

So, since I LOVED Wicked as I did, I absolutely had to read the sequel, Son of a Witch. I wasn't disappointed. The picture that Gregory Maguire paints of Oz, a perspective on Oz that is VERY different from the movie we know and love, is so incredibly tangible that you feel like you've taken family vacations to the Emerald City (and were sorely disappointed by the filth, pretense, and complete government control, by the way).

Anyway, blah blah blah, I highly recommend the book. And I think Liir is hot. Grrrowl.

Currently listening to My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade

By your description, it sounds alot like my fare city Memphis...LOL. You know, like the less desireable spots of Memphis, the personalities of Germantown and Collierville, and our infamous Mayor(appointed by God). GREAT YELLOW BRICK ROADS!!! I'M GOING BACK TO OZ!!!
